I had a fantastic weekend visiting Judith of Bountiful Buckhaven! A Growing Space and community project based in Fife, run by CLEAR, the project has established a 120 tree orchard, community plots, polytunnel and a lovely wildlife garden.

Judith got in touch with me late last year and we are working together on some really exciting commissions. The first will be a map of the community orchards in and around Buckhaven. We went on a wander to visit some of them, mapping them out as we went.

After some on site sketching and some planning, we had coffee in her great new office and thought about how we can apply my design work to the project. I will be working on mapping, jam labels (they have great community jam making days with all their delicious produce!) and some notice boards to let people know about the wildlife in the area.

It is such a pleasure to be working with this great project!

Really fun commission from Ideal Mexico, a new Edinburgh based night for performance, improvisation, music and poetry in interesting spaces around the city, featuring exciting touring acts and a DIY ethos.

For their first event they are bringing Richard Dawson to legendary sepia folk pub The Waverley, with support from acclaimed poet JDA Winslow and extra unannounced performances early on.
