Hello! I am a Scottish artist, designer and researcher based in Glasgow. My key area of interest is in collaborative projects that explore health, narrative and participation. I have a Masters of Design from Glasgow School of Art. My work encompasses visual arts, illustration, graphic design and delivery in the community. I am an associate service designer and illustrator with the Institute of Research and Innovation (IRISS) where I deliver participatory design workshops, conduct research, support co-design and create visual solutions focused on the world of social care.
I’v been having a great time working for Edinburgh’s insight magazine and getting to grips with some of their more academic articles. The challenge of tackling a complex subject and distilling it visually is fun, but difficult!
Drawing the Obamas wasn’t so bad, but I never want to look at David Cameron’s face so closely ever again!
This illustrations accompanies an article about the Transition into Obama's second term, focusing specifically on the economic agenda he laid out in his inaugural address.
By critiquing whether the statements in Obama's second inaugural address hold to current policy initiatives and examining facts about the economy, energy, and development- specifically the green job sector, it explored whether Obama's new green job agenda can be realistically executed within the current political and economic climate.
If you havnt seen it, then it's worth watching his inauguration speech.
